Location: Mumbai/Pune, India
The Medical Biller will be responsible for accurately processing insurance claims, managing billing procedures, and ensuring timely payment for healthcare services. This role involves working with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and patients to handle claims submission, resolve billing issues, and maintain compliance with industry regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and submit insurance claims accurately and promptly.
Verify patient insurance coverage and obtain pre-authorizations as needed.
Review and reconcile claim denials or rejections, making necessary adjustments.
Follow up with insurance companies and patients to ensure timely payments.
Maintain accurate billing records and update patient accounts regularly.
Ensure compliance with healthcare billing regulations, such as HIPAA and payer-specific requirements.
Respond to patient and provider inquiries regarding billing and insurance.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent (certification in medical billing is a plus).
2+ years of experience in medical billing, preferably in healthcare or insurance.
Familiarity with billing software, CPT/ICD codes, and payer guidelines.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
