Location: Mumbai/Pune, India
The QA Specialist will be responsible for ensuring the quality, accuracy, and reliability of software applications and processes related to insurance systems. This role involves designing and executing test plans, identifying defects, and collaborating with development teams to deliver high-quality solutions that meet insurance industry standards and compliance requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, document, and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and scripts for insurance software applications.
Perform functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure application quality.
Identify, log, and track defects, collaborating with developers for resolution.
Validate data accuracy and system workflows for insurance processes such as claims, policies, and billing.
Ensure compliance with regulatory and industry standards, including HIPAA and other relevant frameworks.
Automate testing processes where applicable to improve efficiency and consistency.
Analyze test results and provide comprehensive reports on system quality and performance.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and provide feedback for improvements.
Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in QA methodologies and tools.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
3+ years of experience in quality assurance, preferably in insurance or healthcare IT systems.
Knowledge of insurance processes (e.g., claims, policy management) and regulatory compliance standards.
Experience with testing tools (e.g., Selenium, JIRA, TestRail) and methodologies.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
Excellent communication skills for collaboration with technical and business teams.
